Top comic Joe starring in new adaptation of TV classic

Everyone’s favourite 1970s classic TV comedy, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em is back this March at Richmond theatre from Tue 6 – Sat 10 Mar! Press are invited to attend for review on Wed 7 Mar at 7.30pm

Joe Pasquale will lead the cast as the loveable but accident-prone Frank Spencer. Sarah Earnshaw will play his long-suffering wife Betty and Susie Blake as his disapproving mother-in-law, Mrs Fisher. Moray Treadwell will star as Mr Luscombe/Mr Worthington, David Shaw-Parker as Father O’Hara and Chris Keily as Desmond/Constable.

The most successful sitcom of the decade gave us the hapless Frank and his long-suffering wife Betty with catchphrases galore and a never-ending list of disasters with roller-skating escapades and runaway chickens.

Comedian Joe Pasquale has delighted audiences with his live stand-up tours for over 20 years and made his theatrical debut in 1999 in Larry Shue’sThe Nerd which prompted Time Out to describe his performance as “rib-shatteringly funny” and went on to appear in the touring productions of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern  Are Dead in 2004;  Mel Brooks’  The Producers in 2007;   The Wizard of Oz  in 2010,  Doctor in the House with Robert Powell in 2012;  Ha Ha Holmes – The Hound Of The Baskervilles in 2013 and more recently (2013-2015) in the West End and touring production of Spamalot in the starring role of King Arthur.

Moray Treadwell most recently appeared in the national tour of Hysteria for London Classic Theatre Company. His other theatre credits include The Railway Children (King’s Cross Theatre), The Beatles LOVE Show (Cirque Du Soleil, Las Vegas), Waiting For Godot (Italian tour), The Importance of Being Earnest (Vienna’s English Theatre) and The Ruling Class (Frankfurt’s English Theatre).

The stage adaptation has been written by Guy Unsworth, based on the original TV series by Raymond Allen.  Guy Unsworth will also be directing, with design by Simon Higlett. The UK Tour will be produced by Limelight Production.
